The Cook
I am a renewed and highly excited individual about anything that is meatless, eggless and tasteful.
I have been a vegetarian for almost 3 years now. I attempted to go vegan at the beginning of August of 2009 and stopped on January 1, 2011. Settling for Lacto-Vegetarian on New Years'.
I have done so in respect to my Spiritual Path. I was going vegan in the hopes of furthering my statement on animal cruelty. In doing so, I was hurting myself because I was not prepared for it.
In my home, I do not consume any meat products or meat products, eggs or milk. I only use butter from time to time, when I'm out of my Earth Balance. But I still eat cheese. If I were able to find a suitable substitute, I wouldn't eat at home either.
The only time I really eat cheese or consume milk is at my ashram. This is why I cannot call myself a complete vegan.
Anyone that knows me, knows that I LOVE FOOD!!! And I can throw down with the best of them. I have made it my purpose to bring good, delicious, comfort food to the masses that nourishes body and soul.
